RX-0 Unicorn Gundam + Head Display Base

From Gunpla

RX-0 Unicorn Gundam + Destroy Mode Head Display Base
*only realized that the display base is only compatible with HGUC grade Gunplas -__-"
(The head display base) Looks pretty plain with the all white parts + semi-transparent red inner parts only; luckily i had some extra redundant decals from the MG kit to bling up this display base (not yet applied at the time this picture was taken). Still lacks color coding for the inner neck part, gold coating for the antenna & green flourescent decals to light up its eyes. It transform quite effortlessly though, unlike its MG counterpart =)

Revisiting Project MG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam ~
From Gunpla

*just assembled the leftover uncompleted arsenal from almost 2 years ago, the Magnum Beam rifle (not in picture yet) which, actually has more parts than the Head Display Base itself!
looks cool & sophisticated but is quite a pain in the butt to transform, & rather fragile too... the snap fit parts just wear out too soon, after a couple of transformations in between Unicorn & Destroy Mode & is starting to fall apart already... *strictly a display only model, & it's tough choosing either between the 2 modes to stick with. Updates in Destroy mode to come soon (after i overhaul my MG Unicorn) xp

It's a SHOWDOWN!

MG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam

MG Strike Freedom Gundam

In full psycho frame Destroy mode, the Unicorn towers over most standard-size MGs... *watcha looking at, shorty?*
~ back to the earlier post on the CR2 transfer glitch, i'm going to try out via a card reader next... hopefully that's going to work.

The update on this project is long overdue... it had actually been completed at about the same time when i got my new toy, the EOS405D a couple of weeks back. Had intended to post some of its showdown pixes taken earlier today. Shot them in raw format for the 1st time, but when i attempted to transfer the pixes from the SD card to my PC, the memory card was read as blank/blank empty? Took some sample shots using raw-jpeg format split & tried again ~ only the .jpg ones were successfully read? I'm using bundled EOS Digital Solution software, it should be equipped to detect the raw format.... *dunno what's the problem here... arrgggh! xp ... anyone care to enlighten this noob? thanks in advance!

~ work in progress...

The 102th model of the Master Grade Gunpla lineup released end of last year

Not exactly the best looking Gundam model ever but the fact that it can transform means that it's got a fairly unique & complicated inner frame & shield plate construction ~ enough level of difficulty to give me longer hours of Gunpla making fun!

A 'Version KA' ~ means that it is exclusively designed by Hajime Katoki, a popular Japanese mecha designer who, is highly noted for his works on the Gundam series

Consists of 20 runners with over 500 pieces of individual parts

Got this for quite a bargain ~ 20% off from the hobby shop at Tun Jugah; factor in the shipping costs, that's about as low of a price as you can get, here. Gunpla fans in town might want to go check it out, the stock clearance sales offer still stand, i think...
