It's a home alone Christmas for me this year... quiet & peaceful =) My family's away to attend a cousin's wedding in Sibu... but i'm not alone...

A HG 1/144 Sword Impulse Gundam i got for the Christmas gift exchange...

he's gonna keep me occupied for a 1/2 day's worth of Gunpla fun.. =p

not the genuine stuff (as i had hoped) though, but rather a bootleg cheapo version... plastic build quality is rather inferior & the part fittings looks questionable. Well, i'm not going to rant about it much.. after all it's the thought (in giving away pressies) that counts... & it's 1/2 day's worth modelling fun anyways. =) *gonna post more once i'm done building*

Christmas Eve Dinner @ Magenta Restaurant ~ i've always been looking forward to taste the fine dining experience here... reputed to be the best in town. Set in a converted old malay house with very oriental interior decor, the warm & cozy ambience is just great, be it for a merry get-together makan for buddies or an intimate dinner for lovebirds... soft music in background blends in nicely...

& the food ~ italian, very finely infused with some local flavours is simply excellent! Let the pixes do the talking:
Oyster Bisque with.....*something* Leeks & Blue Cheese Croutons soup for openers (lengthy name... too busy eating away to remember snapping any pics =p)

Appetizer: Duck Confit Salad with Honey Mustard dressing (exotic eh?)

Main course: Rosemary-Roasted Turkey (of course! what else is more fitting for a Christmas dinner?) & Santa Fe Stuffing Timbale.. bla-bla-bla... *too long to recall*

Desert: Eggnog Panna Cotta (exotic sounding too eh?)
A full course meal here costs a premium (for the general masses like me), but i tell you, it's worth every single cent! This is what fine dining experience should be like....

So what's next for New Years Eve?? =)

The year end holiday season is finally here again ~ & as usual, litho is ever-ready and all geared up for the merry making festivities just around the corner; thanks to the collective effort of the wonderful lithorian gang, especially the new kiddies on the block (margaret & audrey) + the 1/2-a-litho guy (mrtoilet) =)

You guys really brighten up the workplace atmosphere; now it's truly become an inspiring place to daydream work in... =p

We've got our own mini Christmas tree to post our wishes & highlight our plights...

3 months BONUS!!!! yeah, babeh! *no bond-us pls*

It may not be as massive or as magnificient compared to Celcom's one in downtown Travillion; one that blows off snow flakes off the top (special effects of some sort, though i haven't actually seen it in action)...

but we're proud to call it our very own special tree, with many office-seasons worth of sentimental values =)

Then there's also the ritual Guardian Angel Gift Exchange to make things merrier... where everyone gets to play secret angel to take care of an assigned caree of their own, & also gets to be cared for by another secret angel; pre-determined by random lucky pick ~ til the final revelation during the gift exchange on Christmas eve. Nothing fancy, it's about cultivating neighbourly love ~ showing token of appreciation for the little acts of kindness, triggering an amusing chain mail of appreciations made more interesting by the existence of sleeping angels...




Many got to work & performed miracles soon...

but some just continued to hibernate...
